Water Science and Engineering

Water Science and Engineering
The “Water Science and Engineering” program is one of the oldest academic disciplines offered in universities in Iran and around the world. In 2012, following a review of specialized water-related programs, the Ministry of Science removed the Agricultural Water and Civil Water Engineering majors from the list of approved degree programs and introduced a new curriculum under the title of “Water Science and Engineering” at the undergraduate level. The breadth of this field makes it an interdisciplinary program. Water Science and Engineering has always received special attention both nationally and internationally. It is considered a priority field by the National Elites Foundation and the Ministry of Science, and is included in the national program for supporting the recruitment of top talents.
Some of the key courses in this program that students are required to take include:

 Fluid Mechanics

Hydraulics of Closed Conduits and Open Channels

Design of Hydraulic Structures

Water Resources Engineering

Soil Mechanics

Engineering Hydrology

Design of Drainage Systems

Groundwater

Design of Irrigation Systems
Water Quality
